Ne-yo  "Year of the Gentleman"

Ne-yo's newest and first solo album hit the charts like a hurricane (no pun intended, at all. The artist referred to as "The lyrical genius" of this generation has not only topped the charts from the sounds of his newest album.  Ne-yo has stared in Stomp the Yard, and has also written some of the charts top songs in the last few years; Irreplaceable, by Beyonce is just one to mention.  His talents seem to be on display every time he releases or writes a new song.  "He's capable of writing that hit song every time he picks up his pen". Says Dave Kaelin, Renowned morning show host of WNCI'S Morning Zoo.  

After listening to the record, Ne-yo's sound is undoubtedly unique, and is not your typical R&B album.  Two of his songs are currently in the top 40 right now.  

However, sorry that it seems like there's always a however in my music reviews.  But, most of the album talks a little to much about lost love, broken relationship that ends in tears kind of love. 

A few Profanities encourage me even less to recommend this Cd. Is there worse you could listen to?  Yes!  And please don't assume that my negative response to a artist or album means that I'll beat you over the head if you decide to buy it.  I do think however that there could be a better alternative out there in this is your type of music genre.  (By alternative I don't mean Christian, I mean a positive alternative. Not all "Christian" music is good, not all secular music is bad)

I would suggest that you listen critically to all your music, don't just accept it because it's something your use to; or everyone else is doing it, so why is it wrong for me approach.
